There used to be a guy at team diesel in Connecticut named doug that built custom injectors for two strokes, not sure whether they are still in business or not

Which exhaust housing do you have? If it’s the 241, you could drop to a 231 but it may require machining

Do you already have parts ? Best engine would be 8.1 liter to start out with. Put a 4 3/4 overbore kit in it and you’re at 540ci.

Looks like they sell them for 491 dollars for the 3lm-466, at one time st Joe diesel used to sell them for about 500 but not sure anymore, pretty reasonably priced anymore and surely make more power than old stock charger

I think you want to drop down to 18.4-38 and run the speed limit classes, you won’t be happy with the results of the 20.8-38 uncut tire 3000 rpm class, they are running well over 20 mph, just because it says farmstock doesn’t mean that’s what the class is

To run the 2hot2 farm you will have to run 18.4-38 tires, other classes are heavy 8 mph farmstock and then the 3000 rpm open farm,

4440 pistons are low ring, there is like 1/2” to 3/4” from top of piston down to top of first ring; on 55 series high ring it is about 1/4”

How much has been done to your 4020? It’s probably going to take a pretty good runner to win the to hot to farm, Glenford has a 8 mph 12500 farmstock class listed for this year

How many rpms? I think the s360 is going to be too big and not spool, the 3lm May be a better option, if need be you may be able to get a 231 exhaust housing fitted to the 3lm

Yes because it handles heat better and you have room to cut valve reliefs, where on the high ring there is very little room between top ring and top of piston

Yea if you are searching for the 55 series 466 low ring piston. Piston is re57731 and the application was for a 4955/4960.

Glenford And American farm pullers, lots of 3000 rpm classes around. Not sure what they run at bunker hill anymore, they were trying to run a classic pro farm class of some sort

I have one on my 4230 and there is no lag with the 3lm-33. If you aren’t going to put a big injection pump on it and are just looking for a 4430 replacement turbo that would be the one to use, I might consider selling mine if you would be interested in a used model, if not just do a google search, I think they can be bought new for around $500-700 depending on who you deal with

Deere.com, click on parts, then look on 4240-4840 tractors, will have a engine serial number break for differences in oil pump
