Most school bus 5.9s around Iowa are around $2000-$2500. Most have a little over 100,000 miles on them.

Good to see some competition for Firestone. I live about 60 miles from Charles City and when the Mitas plant opened the Firestone prices dropped around the area.

Its not the higher RPM that makes flywheels come apart its the heat from slipping the clutch. I've seen one blow in person and several on video and everytime the clutch has not held or been slipped for a longs way out of the hole before it explodes. Steel flywheels look expensive until you see one explode.

30 and 40 series block were both cam driven oil pump blocks. A 50 series or 10.1 block will get you the crank drive oil pump. I don't think there is a big difference between 30 and 40 series.

Wouldn't it be easier to say "run what you want"? Less rules= less head aches.

If everyone just wants to hit the sand pile why even bring a sled to the event? Seems like a lot of front ends have been busted to hell over the years just to make the crowd happy.

Three businesses that have alway delivered on time for me are: Seal Tech, Rursch specialties, and Castners. Great example is Seal Tech, I called them on a Monday for sealing rings and had them in my hand by Thursday.

Chopsaw with an abrasive wheel works well. Keep turning the axle as you cut. It leaves a nice clean cut.
