Well said Kurt. Doug had many successful and committed years with Outlaws. Definitely left a lasting impression that I am sure you and Taylor can continue.

Could the block have an issue where the oil galleries are leaking through the casting internally?
Could you have an older supply hose that has deteriorated enough that its collapsing and starving the Aviad?

I think both Mark and Allen plan on pulling some Outlaws.
Allen posted on FB his 17 planned schedule and it had Outlaw events on it.
And why did the post about calling them to find out get deleted? Maybe I missed something that broke the rules of the page.

You will be just fine. The only thing I would worry about is if you were attempting an extended change interval. The TBN or total base number, could be lessened. This is an oils ability to remain stable and neutralize the acids produced from combustion. Let's say a normal oil tbn starts at 10 and goes to 5 in 200 hrs on your tractor. (3 the oil has expired) if you mix these 2 the tb

As a fan I want more numbers all the time.
And I agree from a fans stand point that low turn out is not ideal.
But what I am pointing out is that its still wanted by promoters more than they want booked.
Its a business. Cost has driven pullers to other classes or out completely. The current competition wants x number of hooks for points.
Some promoters couldn't book thi

No restrictor plates.
For me personally it wouldnt have effected us as our top turbos are smaller than the restriction they were proposing.
It would have put a cap at an air inlet size but would have made turbos and wheels a lot more expensive to work under the restriction.
Making the class 7500 lbs would probably do more than that restriction would have, idk.

So promoters are wanting GN DSS at a frequency more than NTPA and the pullers want booked.
And dss pullers dont want to combine.
Where is the issue again we are talking about???
Why is combining needed again?
Trying to identify the problem we are fixing.

First though to have a problem, a promoter needs to see it in the stands, then the promoter defines the issue, then we need to fix the issue either at a promoter level or organization level. The money flows or doesn't and is usually easily identified.
Have the promoters that have identified an issue with low fan count tied it to problems in the legacy classes? Would a fix in those cl

Why is it so wrong to have the legacy classes listed below, and welcome the new blood and passion for the sport.
The non growth in those big hp classes are the reason these new classes have gained traction at bigger venues.
My stance is that money and more options in classes are the reason there is no growth in the mentioned legacy classes.
But why does there need to be a "fix"

You should be close with a chassis, rear plate, bell housing, drive line and shields, no tranny, no tires, no engine, with sheet metal of choice.
Some variables on what sheet metal, and how finished off it is will vary price some.

Taking off with a V8 and feathering the throttle out of the hole to hook it up is a little different than having to have a 5.5" or multiple turbos spooled before you can start to think about moving.
Clutch will only do so much.
The sled setting would be changed some to accommodate, just not sure there is enough difference out of the hole to matter there.

The weight change would be interesting.
Definitely change the complexion of the classes. I know right now some are struggling with enough weight on the nose at 8000.
Go back to the old 7500ss. Definitely put driving and weighting at more of premium.

Well look at it this way, if the MM had deere sheet metal on it, would it be noticed at all or anymore than the other deeres?
It's just another deere in the mostly deere PS class. Not that that's bad, its just the way it is.
Now they took a deere and made it stand out to the fans. Is it a true blood MM? No, but it's something NEW for fans to see, talk about. Let's

How do you know it hasn't drawn any new fans???
You can not prove that statement.
There are some minnie mo guys that although know it's not a true MM, still are drawn to it because of the different look they like.
I know for a fact, I paid more attention to the MM when it pulled and actually was a pretty well discussed every year at Tomah in our section, and we actually go

Exactly we replaced the 2000 to 2500hp SS of the 90s with new classes of 2000 hp tractors. It cost less money to make 2000 hp.
Now the DSS are north of 4000hp.
It's all money. More choose to join the other class options.
Then add the sled advancements. Pulling has changed a lot just because of the sleds.
The 90s are gone. They aren't coming back.

Keep beating that drum. The spilt is not the reason for the decline in numbers. In the 2000s both classes had many competitors at all events. Cost is the reason for declining numbers. Combining won't change that fact.
Not possible to combine.

The fastest growing classes are those because you can do more with less money.
If you could build and maintain a LSS, DSS or PS for same money as a LLSS, this class wouldn't be on anyone's radar.
I don't mean that as a knock against LLSS.
And any sheet metal any motor is only happening on such a small level it isn't hurting a thing. Just as many IH guy cheere

75w90 and 75w140 will flow better at colder temps if you want a lube that will work better in that condition.
These will do all you need for any temp as well so you could just leave it in year round.

All farm equipment has oil or lube spec the fluids need to meet, set by mfg.
Fluids can just meet these specs and not offer any more than that.
Hopefully one would find better lubrication for high performance applications than just what Deere or CIH put for a spec on their equipment.
Remember CIH and Deere and others want their equipment to wear out eventually. They are in the busine

Look at TD sheets for different brands and pick the best oil you like and local availability.
Schaeffer's 75w140 is good stuff but spendy. Will run cooler and in result last longer.
They have different weights too if you have a preference for this application and don't need a full synthetic high performance EP lube.
And if you need to add someones additives to your oil or

I wanted to post info that Randy Hinton passed this morning after his battle with cancer.
If anyone knew Randy, they knew there was only one like him. Randy pulled prostock and DSS through the 80s, 90s and 2000s.
Here is a link to the obituary and funeral arrangements. New info will be posted when available.
