I've seen that also. And sometimes those competitors that lift don't make it to the pulloff or finals because of their decision. I'm not arguing that it might be stupid to plant it in the pile but it's 1 hell of a rush when you get the chance to do it, because it is not easy to accomplish. As a rule our sled operators do a great job of knowing how to set their piece of art

I personally pull and it's always the goal to "putter In the sand" no matter what. Not 1 of us that winter time pulls thinks different than that. We ll limp it to the pulloff, or finals and fix it when we get home.

To answer your question on will it fit yes bolt it on just the way it is. But then it won't start because of the combustion chamber difference between the 40 series and 55 series. It will decompress it to much. It will start with either and run good but not without nose candy. If you're going to pull it in farmstock (pure farm) it's fine. If you're still planning to farm w

I have 3 hotfarms 1 with combine manifold like yours 1with 7810, and 1 with 7920. And all 3 engines run within 20hp of each other with the same turbo. The combine manifold is the nicest because everything is out of the way to do maintenance.

Look on the brighter side for a few of the competitors that may not have won or did as well as the other guy but the other guy was a good enough guy to say hey I can't make it let the next guy compete. That guy worked as hard or maybe harder and gets a mulligan thanks to the higher finisher. Think outside the box sometimes you might be surprised at how well they do.

Yes you did need to put a nose on it. Riverside will do it I know probably someone else like VGM and lemke also can. It will break and you will wish you did been there done that.

Harts 14mm is the best currently but FVP, and wimer have very good stuff as well. The problem is there is a waiting list a mile long from all of them. And they are all very expensive.

In our hotfarm class we are aloud 24.5 and 20.8 cuts are it doesn't matter use what you have. For you it could matter some because of gear selection because of your speed limit. Otherwise tire size isn't going to matter too much traction wise at least.

Stock 1 will be fine. But you need the billet cross shaft and fork or it will bend atlas, Darren raucsh (speling?), or Kenny's pulling parts can help you out with that

I was there also pulling in the 10000lb hotstock class and Thursday afternoon one of the announcers( sorry don't remember his name) came up to us and asked for our class rules because there were 3 different organizations represented and he didn't want to butcher up anything including how to pronounce everyone's last names. Hats off to him for being aggressive and caring enuff to tr

I second the corsa. Have 2 tractors with corsa and 1 with RPM and hands down all in all the corsa is the best. That being said (you get what you pay for) the RPM in much less dollars and gets you accurate data, but not nearly as user friendly.
Cody is always available and can walk you through if you are having trouble right on the phone.

800hp is safe but it will handle more for awhile but it will fail sooner than later. About the only thing you can "boost" in the transmission is add disks to a 4440,50,55 quad range which makes it stronger and makes it overdrive instead of under drive. And you will have to tie the traction clutch and PTO clutch packs together because the traction clutch alone won't hold the power. That

This charger thing and chassis thing wouldn't be as big of a deal if the cubic inches weren't so big keep them in the low to mid 500s and we aren't turning 6" charger's. 640 and 680ci is the problem. I know that lps is breaking things also but if the CI was held in check years ago alot of these problems would not have been happening. And maybe we wouldn't have 10 diffe

The most rewarding way is to start with a 706 rear and a dt466 out of a truck or bus (roller cam style) and build it just the way you want & to the rules of your class you choose to run. But the most economical way is to buy a proven good 1 and make a few minor changes to your liking and go straight to the track. But never forget there is no such thing as economical tractor or truck pulling.

VP torque DX works good no wet stacking and tractor starts way better than bio or even doped up farm fuel but has very little power gain over farm fuel. Bio with additives ( not sure what additives are used) wet stacks badly but most guys will tell you it makes the best power.

If you use 4240 n/a pistons it will be close to the same as a stock say 4440 comp. Ratio. but using those pistons limits your injectors as the piston bowl is smaller. 1 thing you could do( I have done this and it works great, but I wouldn't do it again because it takes the hemispherical part out of the combustion chamber out) is surface grind the 55 series head down .100" and use the factor
