Flag men aren't looking at the sled, they're watching the vehicle. I'd say it's 50/50 at best that any flagman would have noticed the red light in time even if it was on the other side and the green went off. Too much happening in too short of time. Not to mention most pullers don't even watch the flagman anyway. He'd have to jump in front of the tractor and hope for

Chris some realistic suggestions would be better. They're not going to expand Freedom Hall. Anything that needs a bigger, nicer place goes down the road to the KFC center, so the pull would be about the only event that would benefit from Freedom Hall being bigger.

Won't happen because there are at least 685,000 different farm stock classes out there. It's about impossible to come up with a set of rules to draw those tractors from across the entire country. Besides nfms would never bring in hot farms and deal with rpm limits when you could have a legit class like light or limited pros.

but the red light plainly began to flash. in another video I saw from up above the red light comes on pretty much right at the time the box stopped moving.

$20ish per square foot is a pretty safe bet. Can easily be more depending on what you want.

In some ways I agree with "Guess". Remember a few years back when Esdon took the entire year off but still got into the Farm Show? i knew a few who weren't happy with that.

I was surprised to hear that the DSS class is the most requested class on the NTPA circuit. I'm sure NTPA feels pressured to give the promoters what they want, but the way things are going with that class it won't be the most requested much longer. It really seems to have died out and it doesn't look like its hit bottom yet.

in the truck world the dt466 is WAY superior to the 8.3 when it comes to reliability. A lot of people like the 8.3 because of the Cummins name and they think it's just a bigger 5.9, but it hasn't turned out that way. i have no idea in the pulling world other than the pullers I know who are running Cummins seem to prefer the 8.9 block to the 8.3. Not sure why.

grinding through the hard surface on the axle gets a better, deeper pentrating weld. it can be prone to the weld breaking away from the axle otherwise, even though I've seen guys do it with no problems. also seen plenty of them break.

the llss make as much horsepower or a little more than super farms. at least the top running ones do which is what you'd get in Louisville. they make a lot less torque but weighing 3000 lbs less makes it equal out. I've seen them go just as fast as super farms. I think they'd do fine up there.

I agree with what you said, but killing those rows would mean potential loss of ticket sales so I doubt it happens. After having sat right up on the track and up in the upper level both multiple times, I don't know why anyone would want to be down next to the track anyway. Way better view up high.

it's a sign of the times. that is what is popular now. i think it looks great. it makes the tractor look more modern. that stuff is definitely here to stay.

I've seen some antique pulls where they have a hood over the tractors that catches the fumes and pulls them out. Would work good for the alkys since you can't really expect them to run a smoke pipe, but I'm not sure how much sense it would make beyond that. Take the hood on and off everytime for class changes? not sure how you can rig it up to be on there and functional and not

most places don't even have any signed contracts on pulls for next year. so there's not even a tentative schedule unless you go off of last year's and the reality that most places will book back this year.

The Dodges had the worst EGR system out there (even worse than the 6.0 Fords believe it or not), so it could definitely cause problems. Delete it and you'll be golden since you've already gotten rid of the DPF.
