Re: Farmall 460 starter trouble - 2 years ago

Use a 460 diesel starter. Ring gear is the same for diesel and gas motor.

Re: Downdraft carburetor - 4 years ago

Exactly, much like open speed classes that will not allow cut tires, or only top cuts. Why do we insist on driving the cost of these antique pullers higher?

H&H farm repair in Marshall Wisconsin. Mike does great work and has a lot of strong motors out there.

Re: farmall H - 9 years ago

What pace and weight do you intend to pull? Pulling your stock H to "get things figured out" won't help at all if your going to do any major work on the motor.

Re: thank you - 9 years ago

In case you missed it there is a for sale ad on page 2 for a tire shop in WI. taking orders for the 30.5 tires.

Re: Good Guy/Good Idea - 9 years ago

Red712 is right, that N.E.W 12,5 18mph class is just as good as any open speed hotfarm. At 18 mph it is anything but boring and far from the parade pace that "dumbmule" speaks of. Makes a much easier group to tech as well in my opinion.

Re: Badgerland Sanity rules meeting Saturday Dec. 5th at 6pm. - 9 years ago

Keith, Can we get any update on what rules were proposed, if any for that altered antique class? Thanks, Jim

Re: need more out of s gas 263 - 9 years ago

If you're not going to swap it out for a diesel engine the very least you can do is switch to a custom piston and run a little higher compression and a reground cam.

Re: Badgerland Sanity rules meeting Saturday Dec. 5th at 6pm. - 9 years ago

Yes that is exactly the info I was looking for. Thought about coming to the rules meeting but didn't want to if the year was set and would exclude my tractor. Thanks, Jim

Re: Badgerland Sanity rules meeting Saturday Dec. 5th at 6pm. - 9 years ago

Keith, As far as this antique altered class goes, do you have a model year cutoff set in stone that your club uses for all "Antiques" ? Thanks Jim

Is it possible that better methods may have been developed in the last 30 years?? Just my humble opinion.

Re: Who would be interested in an ITPA Farm Stock Class if it were offered? - 10 years ago

Yes and that's all under a "farm stock" banner. Really??

Re: Monitoring Speed in Farm Stock Classes - 10 years ago

The 20 foot chain with a bright colored jug of some kind works good. Make them stay with the jug, if they fall back the catch up again they are done. Only way to help people who can't see the speed board or hear the horn.

Are these built to slide over the stock constant mesh and get welded on?

IH axle size - 11 years ago

Is a 1066 rear axle 3.25" or 3.5" ? I was looking at a pair of wheels that has a set of 3.5" hubs with it and that could be the deal breaker. Thanks

Re: Non turbo 466 - 11 years ago

How much does it take to make a RD501 competitive in a 6000lb 12mph class? I assume when you say they are good for 6 and 8mph that would be in stock form. Will a good cam, head work, and higher compression pistons do it?

C-301 - 13 years ago

Can anybody tell me a casting number for the silver diamond truck head that works the best on the C-301 motor. I have been told there are two different heads that will bolt on but one is better. Thanks.

Re: H Farmall timing cover - 13 years ago

Pressurize it through the drain hole in the block behind the carburetor. Should see where its coming from then.
by Bowhuntinfool - Pulling Forum

Re: H Farmall timing cover - 13 years ago

Are you sure thats where its coming from and not just running back down the fan shaft toward the water pump?
