So he is one of the names on the list then. I heard there is around 3 per position that they are looking at. Could be a good thing.

Just because it's in a auction doesn't mean it doesn't have a reserve on it. I don't know this man but if he has a widow it could have a reserve and if he was a single man and no children and it's a true estate auction then it probably won't have a reserve. Would someone please let us that can't be there know the outcome of the sale of the tractor.

I thought this was a forum where we could pretty much discuss anything we want to as long as we sign our name but sounds like Outlaws must have purchased "PULLOFF" since they seem to be telling everyone what can be discussed. Just my 2 cents. Have you sold it Jake?

And what's the problem it appears to be a lot better setup than some of these 3/4 and one ton pu's with a gooseneck that a lot on pullers are using.

The 361/407's don't like much advanced timing nothing like the 400 series motors. I'd have to look at mine on my pulling tractor to tell you what it is because I don't remember what I've got it at (I run a a-pump). Use to run a roosa and I believe we had it set close to stock setting and that was where it run the best.

I would think if you was going to call it a light hot farm class the weight would be more like 6000 or 6500 instead of 7500 or 8000.

Have you ever seen anything the EPA, ect get involved in that didn't get all screwed up and overregulated.

In my earlier post I failed to realize that it was a NA tractor that was being discussed. I thought the discussion was about a higher HP tractor. Gears will probably work just fine in NA tractor.

I wouldn't think that 4 gear would be heavy enough (width, ect) to hold that kind a hp, they are kind a narrow in both the 460 and the 400.

I been wondering how long it would be before EPA would start getting involved in the motor sports and folks we have no common group to work on stopping this so we need to start letting our Senators and Reps know it needs to be stopped. EPA has its own way and it's hard to stop them but our Reps and Senators can help a lot on this. Time to start is NOW.

I will have to say the fumes were the worst ever this year especially when they run the 4 engines. This is the first year that our eyes acturally burn from all the raw fuel, you could taste it in the air. I vote to set everything on the sled with the telehandler, start them and run them, sorry if it cold and they need heat, that's the way it is, that's Louisville. If they don't wan

I think Dave does a good job and it's a job that 99.9% of the people couldn't do. I'm good with listening to Dave and it's entertaining just to see what he comes up with next and looks to me like Dave and Butch do a good job together. My wife is good with him as long as he keeps the Mother-in-law jokes to himself.

The tractors I run every few days I never have any hyd issues with, it's the one's that set for a while and then get used a day or two and then set again for a while (I mean 3 or 4 weeks or more) are the one's that give trouble and it's always a moisture issue. My tractors almost always are inside unless I'm working away from home.

I agree with Jake, there is a staleness about the show but I keep going. I enjoy it and like attending the farm show, I get to see some friends I've made over the years that I only get to run into at Louisville. I have great seats and really don't want to lose them, but if tickets get any higher it's going to be really hard to keep going. It's different now with all the other

That's a good place to start by cking the clutch spines but where I was pointing at is the bottom plate on the center section or the MVC plate should give some access to the gearing in the front of the center section. Pull that lower plate and if you have pieces and part there you can be sure you have a problem.

if I recall correctly Floyd can't you ck the IPTO gears from underneith the tractor by pulling the bottom plate from the bottom of the midsection or is my memory telling me wrong? or even pulling the MVC plate from the side of the tractor?
