I have not used a Mack trans , I dont remember at what power level we needed a billet input in our Eaton but that was the weak link. If you aren't going to lean on it very hard the stock stuff should be ok. Having said that , if you break a shaft it most likely wont be the only thing that gives up.

the part you need to look at is the input shaft, after market gears are just to get ratios you want that the OEM doesn't offer

Something that we have to remember is alot of promoters rely on sponsors and donations to put on their event, now with many businesses being closed can or will they be willing to put money into a pull this summer? Pullers also could be tight financially , especially those that already have a limited budget to start with.

That engine was in the truck for 2 seasons(almost), the tune up was just to make laps not trying to win. When we first put 3 chargers on it was the most affordable way for us to compete. At that time the single charger that was necessary would not live.Guys needed 2 or 3 of them to always have 1 Wimers have charger now that is much more dependable but what I have works.I don't want to have to

even the current Playboy tractor is not powered by a 2 stroke Detroit. I believe if you want a semi puller you should stay away from a 2 stroke motor. If you want a Detroit try an electronic 60 series.Might still be a waste of time and money, there is a reason they are all Cummins KT,Cat,or Mack E9

semis have a dead man throttle just like everybody else. the air bags on some trucks are controlled by the driver however if the rear tires lose contact with the track that vehicle should be dqed. we just dont see that happen
