You will see some of that but you will also see some tractors that will run a very high power to weight ratio. Tractors running two Hemis with big blowers and three Chevy with 1500 less lbs and in at least one case three Rino engines. You may see four Chevy at 6000 lbs that is a lot of H.P. per lb. I'm not sure you can expect a lot of guys to spend a bunch of money on this class until it ge

I think in the short run it may help RN II as some tractors will add weight and run RN/state as there won't be many hooks in the 6000 lb class the first year or two. I know that is what we plan to do and I know of one other tractor that will do it some in RN II. As was mentioned most will run three hoop cages so they can weight up to run other classes.

There are three more blowers under that massive manifold. I read a story about the engine last summer and it showed how they were under there, I think all of the top ones feed the ones under the manifold.

I drive a 3 engine RN/State level Mod with 3 blown KB Hemis but I must say from an adrenalin rush it comes in second.
We have driven Dodge Vipers on 5 of the super speedways and that will get the adrenalin rushing big time. They use the infield road course as well as 3/4 of the big track for this track time and it is a blast although a little scarier than I would prefer. Maybe a little too mu

I think a lot of places like B.G. have found that the more clay in a track the harder it gets over a long day of pulling. Most would rather see a more consistent track that may be less of a power track over a really hard one at the end of the day. I know of at least two clay tracks that have been adding organic matter to their tracks over the last few years to make them less likely to get to ha

I don't know about other states but in Indiana even with farm tags you still need a DOT number on any pickup and trailer combo over 10,000 lbs.

He is talking about DOT numbers not CDLs,big difference. If you have a combo over 10,001 LBs you need DOT numbers,(even farm use) if over 26,0001 LBs you need CDLs unless it's farm use then you can't go more the 150 miles without CDLs.

We just had regular truck tags on it and yes I beleave you should have a CDL but we didn't. The new one has RV tags and we don't need a CDL.

No worries, just wanted to mention it to you. If you find one in your price range it should work very well. We used the one we bought with the living quarters to take a trip to FL pulling a 48' trailer with two cars plus a bunch of other stuff and it worked great. These trucks feel much more solid than a dually when pulling a big load even though the drivetrain is the same as any GM produ

We have an 06 4500 GMC four door that we have used for the last two years and it has worked very well. We liked it well enough that we bought another one with a small living quarters on it. We do have the four door truck for sale if you might be interested. It was on this sites for sale page.

You are right in one respect Richard, I can hook more times per summer than I can get to but I also like to mix it up once in a while. Thats why I'm we've been to WI, IL,TN, KY, MI, and NC when we can.
I'm not trying to change what y'all do up there, just adding to the debate. I still don't think I can agree that one tractor should run two engines while the others can

I can see that most everyone would want to keep things as they are and yes folks should build to the rules that are in place. I would also point out that in the 2wd class we can take our truck anywhere in the country and run because the rules are pretty much universal. Not so anymore with the mod class, we had thought about doing what the Gambler did and try to find a date to come up and run wi

Richard,
I don't have a dog in this fight but I have run with a lot of different tractors in the last few years. Yes I am one of those dreded three Hemi tractors.
Just this year we have had a new tractor come out and run with OSTPA and RN2. It has three Chevy engines with Dart heads and He got around me as often as I got around him. He has hurt some parts in the corse of the summer bu

I think the Funny Farmall should be higher on the list just going by his placing when he runs the Unlimited class. I'm not sure the top two shouldn't be reversed but then with that Hemi on top this year maybe not.

We used a 4600 and I'm pretty sure that they are the same as a 4000. The ratio for mine is about 23 to 1. There is one tractor out there with a 6000 Ford that I know of. The 6000 has hyd brakes and is harder to get the brakes working good but the ratio is closer to what is needed for an EHR tractor. The 4000 has several different ring and pinion ratios that will work in them. I'm n

We have run single engine mods for years and used the Oliver 88 most of that time. They held up good until we got over 600 hp then we started breaking the rear cast part of the rearend casting that holds the back of the input shaft. We had a friend that ran one and used a steel plate for a cover for the rearend and bolted a pillow block bearing to that. This fix seemed to work very well. We s

We have a shop that does work for us that got really well known for doing Mustang race engines. The boss said that even though he had a guy that answered the phone everyone that called wanted to talk to the boss. He said he could never get anything done because he was on the phone all day long.

I would agree that Bret Burg is the tractor to beat. Big Jack was the top dog untill last year then Bret started to get around him pretty well. Now with Jack out of the class It has to be the "Money Maker". We look forward to another chance to run with them to see how far behind we are.
As for the tractors in the east I really can't say as I've not seen many of them run.

We have five pullers and not enough time to hook all of them...a good problem to have alhough we were able to make it to about 70 events last summer...life is good! As far as what I would give u
