I think the term "class filler" is pretty disrespectful. My comment concerning the big pro class is geared towards the Badger State points champ not getting invited to the Nashville pull. It would be cool to see the class winners from all organizations pulling against each other. I think this is what this pull is trying to accomplish. BSTP is sending down some good iron, so I will be pulling for

Sandridge intercooler. Don't have any experience with them. Looks like a very capable piece. Wondering if anyone else is running one, or has dyno'd one against the big Bell intercoolers. I appreciate any input.

I have the silver diamond head. Valve cover, head bolts, pushrods, rockers, etc. Head has a small hairline crack in one of the valve seat areas, but it was a runner and did not leak coolant when I removed it from the truck. Call or text Neil @ 608-317-7321 for pictures or questions. I will let it all go for $250.

Get an aftermarket 2 piece manifold. Cut the top and bottom bolt holes open so that you can bolt it onto the wider bolt spacing of the IH engine. Then drive the manifold apart about .125" at the seam. Use a punch to indicate the centerline of the ports at the front and rear of the head and on the outside of the number 1 and 6 exhaust manifold runners. Align the punch marks when you torque it down

Maxxforce and Detroit 40 series are not the same engine..... at all. Both are International engines. The DT 466 did not cease production just because Detroit ordered the exact engine for their applications. Perkins used the engines as well.

I found it to be a really easy conversion. I used a two piece aftermarket manifold off of a 04-07 cummins. I cut the tops off of all of the flanges to allow for the IH's wider bolt spread and pulled the manifold apart less than 1/8th of an inch. Had it mounted in less than a half hour. I also stamped a line on the outside of the 1st and 6th exhaust flange as well as the outside of the ports

The goal here is to save the class. In no way shape or form does it save the class by opening it up to lesser tractors. People who follow diesel supers don't want the class flooded with light pros or superfarms. Look at what happened out east. I don't like the idea of limiting the Superstock class at all, but it comes down to whatever is best for the class AND the competitors. Any chang

Not that this has much relevance, but we here in Wisconsin have a Republican governor. There have been attempts to uproot that governor and all attempts have failed. Sure- historically the WI votes favor the democratic candidate, but when it counts, the Republican voters make it to the polls on their way home from work or in between farms running late harvest. Madison and Milwaukee are full of Li

Yup- So did I. I thought that their diesel rules followed the rest of the LLSS classes around the country with the 470 turbo/ 410 turbo + cooler/ 315 with twins. I should have double checked that. I was under the assumption that 470's were allowed after speaking with class members last fall. Better get the 414 crank outta the corner of the shop I guess! Sorry for jumpin' the gun Dave! A

As it was described to me last fall when I took some interest in this class, I could build any IH combination that I wanted as long as the block that I chose would mount to the bell housing/ rearend using a factory rear engine plate without modification and followed the cubic inch rule. So I am going to run (or sell) a 466 powered 560 chassis.
