I have a used Summit pump, with gauge and regulator for $100. That way you can set to what ever pressure you want. I would run as high as you need to feed the carb, but not push the float open when bowl is full. I ran 6-8 on a big Stromberg.

Looks like a 5.9 with a Case 30 series rear and 70 series tin is the most legal.

Looking to go to an external oil system. Are the scavenge and pressure stages the same? Meaning on a three stage pump with one pressure and two scavenge stages can I use the 2 scavenges hooked together for the engine and the pressure stage for the turbo? Keeping turbo and engine separate.

Is the pressure stage and the scavenge stage the same? Found some used pumps from racing, but only have 1 pressure stage. Is the pump it self the same to use it as a pressure stage. Are all scavenge stages connected? Would these scavenge stages work to reduce crank case pressure.

Looking to do the same, I think they use 3 stages to suck oil out of pan to the oil tank (scavage). For tractor pulling are people using wet or dry sump? What size would work?

First is the cam in the right spot? Did you degree your cam? If so then set #1 valves at TDC compression stroke. Then rotate 120 degrees so the next piston in the firing order is at TDC and set those valves. Then rotate to the next, one set at a time. Performance cams have more duration than stock cams, meaning valves are open longer. So when #1 is at TDC in a stock application other cylinders
