Best ones to be at would be Outlaw's Western Sweep at Onawa, IA, then Hinton, IA, then Carroll, NE. Definitely lots of quality iron with lots of classes and lots of payback!! Then some of the best crowds also.

The Hinton Pull of the Western Sweep used to be a NTPA pull. The others could have been as well. It used to be in Region 3. When ITPA switched to be with the Outlaws is when things changed. The above post of Jimmy is correct. If you want to know the real reason why it would be best to call Dennis Goodwin as he is president of the ITPA and believe he was also when the switch was made.

I personally attended the meeting about 3 years ago and wanted to put a 504 in a 930 case for the exact reasons of it is getting extremely hard to get 451's and yes extremely expensive to get them to run and yes the cranks will break anytime very easily but was told NO yet it was and still is ok for some people in your group to put a 466 in an IH 806 and also to put a 466 in a IH 560. Randy and his father-in-law Albert Groenewig also ran a 3688 along with their 806. Don't remember the name of the 3688 but they were good competitors against the 1150 MF of Holton's. At the same time was a D-21, JD 4455, and then Dan Niemeyer also had his 1066 come along about then which he still pulls in Outlaw. Boy was that the good ole days.

Doug,
I agree with trying to get unlimited supers to Moville but they were not wanted by the Outlaws in Hinton when Hinton's board wanted them so be carefull. I hope the best for you in getting them back. There were more committed to come to Hinton that year than there were DSS. I understand by what the other person was saying about only 6 DSS on average in class and I also see what anot

I highly doubt the promoters would have backed away from the outlaw class for any reason other than 2 of them.
1. Their budget couldn't afford it this year.
or
2. Doug himself has been calling promoters himself and saying not to book the class for next year because he didn't think there would be enough tractors left to fill the class after all this fuss being raised.

That is exactly my point! They have 460/560's and 806's running 466, yet it is not ok for off brands to try to better themselves. Now how is a 466 truck engine a replacement to go in a 460/560? Also there have been red or green guys come from around to try and run and they get criticised and told all kinds of reasons why they can't run more than the one pull unless they change. If

Just too bad Great Plains is afraid of a 930 case with a 504!!! Would love to pull with them also since it is closer but they are just a red/green group and if your not from Sioux County, IA your not worth considering.

There is absolutely no reason not to run THESE same rules with up to MAX 8000 pounds. The video of Sascha proves this. Keep the cubes under 510.

I agree with all your rules TM also. One thing I would like to add is let the gas and propane guys run fuel injection. Let's help keep them modern. I love the idea of this new class. Even though I brought up adding fuel injection to gas and diesel, I would like to build to run diesel. Keep the cube limit at 505 or 510!!! Have no problem with decubing and KEEP the weight down at 8000. This wi

Ulmers new LSS was at Moville, IA this last weekend and couldn't get it lit. Looked like water was coming on too soon. The Lost tractor won the DSS and looked to be running very good. The SF was a very close class with I believe a Deere winning it. Can't remember name of tractor but 4010/4020 style. They beat Kavan by .06 foot according to laser. All top 6 were very close. I can tell you as a former promoter that the associations DO tell you what date you will be or they will drop you like a bad habit if you don't move to the weekend that they want you at. This happened 3 years ago with Outlaws and a series of pulls in Iowa and Nebraska. We were told to change weekends or they would drop us. The pulls had been had the same weekend for over 40 years at this par

I know it is this Saturday, March 14 but that is all I have been able to find out. For being such a big pull, I am only 60 miles away and have seen no advertising around here either in the paper, on tv, or on the radio. Wish myself I could find out more. The website link I was given is even a year out of date. This could be a good pull if they would advertise.

Does anyone have any information about the indoor tractor pull coming up on March 14, 2009 at the community college? Was wondering about contact info, classes, rules, etc.
Thanks for any leads.

Not trying to start anything here but about 10 years ago I asked about a IH block with a Case hood. The person in charge said NO because it was not following product lines. When I replied that an IH block in a CaseIH hood is not either since Tennaco bought out IH and built Case/IH I was at first met with resistance. Then when I said I would take it further to get it or else the IH would have to t

Not trying to start any red/green/other war here but the 8130 JD only comes with a powershift or IVT transmission and neither will hold up. As for the Case/IH magnum or NH TG they both are powershift and won't hold up either. Would need to go back to 7000 series Deere for PowerQuad or MX Maxxum series for CIH in order to even possibly get one to come close to hold up. Yes I agree it is reaso
