Re: Trump Haters - 4 months ago

QuoteLol I see now why they say ignorance is bliss. It's like saying you're not smart enough to actually be concerned about what's going on. What specificaly concerns you? What policy or order? Then show us you don't have TDS by elaborating why the policy or order is so concering. Trump isn't perfect but if I wasn't typing on my phone I'd list dozens and d

Re: Prostocks in the sand piles NFMS - 4 months ago

Breaking front ends in the sand doesn't seem as common anymore. Back it the day it was, but not near as often now. Maybe some pullers hate hitting the sand, but guys like Jason Barker tonight dropped his hook and said in his interview he wanted to put it in the sand. He did! I'm not a fan of bulldozing through the pile but fine tuning a sled for 4 feet is pretty tricky. It's

Re: Last chance new tractor from Chaos - 4 months ago

Which two look alike? El Nino doesn't look like Last Chance, at least not if you compare them side by side. The proportions and hood placement are different. The Shelton's reworked tractors are all really unique so I'm struggling to see your cookie cutter complaint.. Whether you like the looks or paint scheme of Last Chance, the craftsmanship on it is absolutely amazing. The

Re: Wednesday Prostock Class Why No Pulloff Politics - 4 months ago

QuoteBP If you refuse to pulloff you lose your spot in the finals. That can be done easily. I like pulloffs (I think they benefit the sport for multiple reasons) but forcing someone to pulloff won't work. Pullers that dont want to pulloff could just fake being broke. You cant force them. There's also the fact that they could actually be broke or they might have a concern and they a

Re: NFMS History Thought - 4 months ago

People complain that the best of the best didn't get in or that last years NFMS winner didn't get in... and other people complain that it's the same guys every year. It can't be both! The truth is they do a great job keeping things fresh and making sure it doesn't get stale. Are they perfect? Nope. Neither are any of us. Last nights Mod class is a prime example, ther

Re: NFMS Wednesday night prostock class - 4 months ago

I'm pretty sure it's just a hole in the side of the hood. It's not a pipe connected to the turbo. No different than people spraying ether through a grill (but probably pretty convenient to spray ether)

Re: NFMS Wednesday night prostock class - 4 months ago

Compressor wheels have come out through the hood/grill in the past. In fact, Tomcat spit the compressor wheel out the front of the hood and under the stands last year here at the NFMS. That said, Charles is completely correct, the intake is just for show. It's just part of the look that Bill Miller has had for decades. There are ton's of cool little details on that tractor if you

Unfortunately Bill Leischner was one of the most surprising runs of the class. I'm sure he's pretty disappointed with his pass.

Re: NFMS Wednesday night prostock class - 4 months ago

Yes, Jason Miller hit the chalk. Too bad because he was on a pretty nice pass. As for the neck brace... I'm guessing nobody on the track noticed it.

Re: NFMS WHY? - 4 months ago

We were just talking about this... I think they should still line up the tractors from 1st to 3rd in the same way they always did it (1st should be at the front of the line), but they should do the interviews in opposite order and start at the back of the line and work your way forward to the winner... The winner should have the final word. There's enough room to still hook on and tow t

NFMS Sound - 4 months ago

New ceiling tiles are in place and the sound is sooooo much better down on the floor. I can finally understand the announcers. I don't know how it is in the rest of the buildong though.

Re: Pro stock history question - 4 months ago

Quote4510 jake there was no complaining about any of this when ih was winning all the pulls now they are on the short end this is what we here. I was complaining about the 680 cubic inch limit 20-25 years ago when IH was still at the top of the class. I got told by tons of small block Deere guys and IH guys that they weren't worried about the big block Deere. The writing has been on the

Re: Pro stock history question - 4 months ago

You do realize this isn't just about IH? When the class first started there was no limit. Eventually it was set at 680. In around 1999 or 2000ish the NTPA lowered (or tried) to lower the class to 620 but rescinded the rule. The cubic inch issue has been an issue for a long time... hence complaining about it for a long time. This isn't just about IH, it's about AC, Ford, etc.

Re: Allis Chalmers Hot Farm Explodes At Southern Invitational - 4 months ago

QuoteSpectator I don't really see how billet or recast blocks would be a performance advantage Agreed. I'm not worried about performance. I'm worried about driving up the cost of the classes even more. QuoteSpectator Billet or recast blocks would eliminate the risk of an explosion like this to ever happen again in hot farm. Disagree. As I said aftermarket blocks should be

Re: Allis Chalmers Hot Farm Explodes At Southern Invitational - 4 months ago

I guess it depend on how we define "beneficial". Billet blocks and recast block are definitely stronger. One of them will eventually come apart in a dramatic fashion just like the "Jus Blowin Cash" AC Hot Farm (Thanks to Thurston Pulling Photos for the great video) but we haven't seen that yet. On the other hand those blocks are not cheap. Allowing them could become a huge financial hurd

Re: Trump's Trolling - 5 months ago

Trump trolling Trudeau... I mean Turdeau and calling him Governor was one of the best trolls of all time, just totally disrespected him for the beta-male he is. That disrespect on the World stage had to be a factor that helped pressure Turdeau to resign. As far as the Panama Canal is concerned... it's too small for modern ocean freighters. We should be threatening Panama that the US will

Re: Double Stuff - 5 months ago

That twin 5.9 is awesome. I'd love it if we had more variety like that in the US. The Double Stuff tractor was really cool and one of my favorite mods too. A version of that with aluminum DT466 blocks would be awesome. I understand why pullers go with V8 Hemi power but it would be great for the sport in the US if some brave souls would think outside of the box and develop alternative opt

Re: 2020 election - 7 months ago

Personally I think the rigged election in 2020 was a blessing. In 2020 all the normal bellwether indicators pointed to a Trump win, all the trends of voting pointed to a Trump win until the late night ballot drops, and now the data from the 2024 election sure makes the 2020 numbers for the democrats look extremely dubious. As I said, I'm glad it worked out the way it did. I think the p

Re: Classes - 9 months ago

Quotepatches Couldn't a cummins be built from off shelf parts ?? It's funny though... the 5.9 Cummins has quickly become the Kohler K301 of the LLSS class. I was thinking the same thing... lots of Cummins parts and lots of hood choices that would work with a 5.9. I don't want the whole class to go with the 5.9 or 6.7 but it would probably one of the most cost effective ways to
