who built the engine - 3 months ago

I was just curious who built the engine for Zane Delhi, Ruttin' Deere II, SSO ? Also is it a John Deere engine block ? Looks like it runs very well.

Re: Oliver cummins - 9 months ago

Good luck getting a 1755 rear end in the 5000 # Class ! Not even sure you could make the 6000 # Class. You would need a 1800A Housing to even think of it.

Re: Give Thanks PPL - 10 months ago

I have mixed thoughts. PPL definitely raised the bar on Payout and Sponsorship's. I will agree with Jake, PPL did push NTPA to do better. When PPL started paying Big Purses and Points Money, the Competitors began to increase the Performance of their Pulling Equipment to keep up and it came at a cost. The evolution of Tractor Pulling accelerated at a rapid pace in the last 17 years. The cost

Re: John deere 4020 with 5.9 cummins and open driveline setup - 11 months ago

Could easily be done. Not sure it would be worth the effort. The John Deere 466, 7.6L or 8.1L cu. in. engine sould out preform the Cummins 5.9L, 6.7L or 8.3L engines.

Re: For all you Green New Deal buffs- Have you really thought through your ideas? - 1 year ago

I will never buy an EV, but I would lease one for this very reason S'no Farmer pointed out [ new battery at $14,000 but the kicker was that the battery was obsolete ] !!!

Re: For all you Green New Deal buffs- Have you really thought through your ideas? - 1 year ago

Looks to me the US Government has got the Cart ahead of the Horse once again. I'm not against being more energy efficient. But, 1st the US needs to improve the Electrical Grid system. 2nd they need to come up with a better way to produce Electricity, maybe Nuclear or Hydrogen power generators or ???? Solar and Wind may be a good thought but, hasn't been proven to be cost efficient for t

Sleepy Joe to put American Tax Payers further in debt - 1 year ago

Biden is going to sign an executive order to pay $10,000 dollars toward Student debt. This will cost Billions and no way to pay for it. He is going to borrow the money from China. Looks like American Tax Payers who never attended College are going to be paying the college loans forgiveness for students with college debt. What a bunch of Horse Manure !

Re: Bowling Green replacement class poll - 1 year ago

20 years ago I thought the 10k Pro Stock Diesel tractor class was "AWESOME" . Over the years I have lost some of my excitement, because it's mostly John Deere's with 619 Big Block's & some Case-IH and a few other brands. Today I would rather watch the 540 Light Pro Stock Tractors. They run good and have more diverse brand of tractors. I would like to see 540 Light Pro become a Gran

Re: Video: Remedy goes Boom in Wisner, Nebraska - 1 year ago

Sounded like the rack in the injection pump stuck wide open or could have been something else. Looks like the Driver couldn't reach the fuel dump valve cable on the dash and had to release his seat belt first. Hate to see something like this happen to anyone.

Re: From the Brooks Pulling Team facebook page. - 1 year ago

Unfortunately this kind of behavior happens more than most people know. Experienced many situations in my 50 years of Pulling. It's to bad some pullers think "If you can't beat'em just get them kicked out" Good Luck with your future endeavors !

Re: Recession - 1 year ago

Could it be that Biden and Company are lowering gas prices for the up coming November election ? Then after the election, impose the New Recession / Green deal taxes on Fossil fuels ? Are we being led by a Dictatorship instead of a Democracy ? Lots of questions.

Re: Recession - 1 year ago

This whole Recession reform bill makes absolutely no sense. Point #1, Biden said 0% inflation last month, So why do we need a Recession reform Bill ??? Point #2 If they are going to spend Billions of $$$ to hire 87,000 new IRS Agents, It will cost more money to pay the Agents wages and Government Benefits than the IRS will collect back in taxes. Sounds like Government waste to me !!! This whole R

Jason Putt's tractor is the old Ryan's Toy/ Dad's Toy. Chris and Jake Huffman still have Alcohol Abuse. They have been busy with their farm. Should be out soon.

Re: Norwalk Crowd - 1 year ago

I would like to commend Bill Bader Jr and PPL for this venture. I think it is a great facility for Truck and Tractor Pulling venue. I'm very hopeful this Pulling Event is successful to become an annual event. As far as the date being in conflict with a Pull in the south, this might have been the only date available for Norwalk Raceway Park. They do have Drag Races every Weekend during the su

Re: utility hot farm class KY - 1 year ago

Lewis, I would have to agree the 240 Cubic inch might be a better solution. If someone wants to use a 4 cylinder engine that has over 240 cu. in., they can debore or destroke. Power Bore will make you sleeves to run a smaller piston. This was the same problem 50 years ago when NTPA decided to make a standard set of rule. Some people wanted big cubic inch engines.

Re: How pulling dies - 1 year ago

dieselpower, Most of the 5.9L Cummins diesel engines used in LLSS are just that = Diesel engines converted to Alcohol. They make unbelievable power for Alcohol and a 3x4 turbo.

Re: Dump Valve - 2 years ago

You have a bad o-ring in your valve. Order a new o-ring kit and replace them. I have replace o-rings several times over the years of pulling.

Track condition - 2 years ago

NTPA don't build the track at Bowling Green ! NWOTPA build the track for the Championship Pull they have. So the track would be the same for what ever organization they choose. Personally I would think they could have their own pull without a sanctioning body. K&K would sell them a insurance policy to cover the event. They could offer a bigger purse by adding the sanctioning fees to the pa

Re: Turbo Alky tractor piston rings - 2 years ago

Contact Total Seal Tech department. They will suggest what gap is needed for your set up. Get the information straight from the horse mouth. I have found it's better in the long run. Have fun pulling !

Re: LLSS - 2 years ago

2800# to 3200# on the front depending on hitch height and track conditions. Some pullers will run a lower hitch on a good biting track to keep the front end down and also to put less stress on the rear-end so it won't cause breakage.

Re: Turbo Alky tractor piston rings - 2 years ago

I used Total Seal Rings. You can Google for information. Never had a problem torching pistons.

Re: NTPA - 2 years ago

Bowling Green National Tractor Pulling Championships really don't need NTPA or PPL organizations. If they have a stand alone pull and "Raise The Purse" Pullers will still come.

Re: Here's what happens when leadership has no vision. - 2 years ago

NTPA wrote the first set of uniformed Rules for National Competition. With that being said, I get tired of hearing how other organizations copied NTPA Rules !! Thank Goodness other organizations did copy. Other wise pullers would not be able to compete in all the different organizations.
