They had the best pass I have seen them do in a while at the St-Hyacinthe pull for the win on last session of NYTPA mods. I know they changed the tire cut some but don't know if they did anything else. It is indeed a very nice looking machine.

Re: lss - 11 years ago
Thanks for the compliment. But all we did was dare to do it. Glad to see others took the idea to the next level and are doing well with it. Can't wait to see how Jeff does next year... should be pretty interesting.
We will be in Louisville and will sure be glad to chat with you and your father.

Dropping the weight will do no good to the class in the long run. Unless they outlaw carbon fiber before someone has a rearend made with it. When this happens, it will be an even bigger pocket book game. Limitations only make things more expansive.
410 cubes hey... I remember days not so long ago when you campained for the LSS at 505 as it would bring both fuels within reach... times change I

Saw them run and win at the St-Hyacinthe pull. They did some changes on tire cut to make them less agressive that seem to have helped a lot. It was more on whose sled they were hooking to than what Country they were in... Now that Quebec has a Bauer sled, they have more chances to get their tractor dialed in to how those sleds work compared to the old Quebec sled.

IH DT alcky 505. Basically same chassis with a new twist. Gotta try some stuff otherwise it wouldn't be fun! Most likely new tin work. Hopefully will be ready for 2012.

I wish Jeff and his crew the best of luck with it and I'll certainly be a close watcher! I hope they fix what we did not. Maybe we were too stubborn with things we should have changed. Always tough to see flaws when you're looking from too close. (I stay as close to my wife as I can so she won't see mine...) It was a bunch of fun and glad we could open the door to some excitement i

Nope and I don't see it come in the near future. Just starting to debate 4 valve heads...
Pleun said European Championships are back to Füchtorf in 2012? Maybe we need to book another trip... Still kinda remember effects of the German brew law of 1516!

Thanks for the vote of confidence but it can stop me just fine! And it's been a very good sled since it's been built in 1978 and through the improvements. But it's probably close to its limits of being efficient to give a good show with the mods that have improved quite a bit in the last couple years.

We'll do some changes to the chassis but are using most of it to put the new engine in. Building an engine to be able to pull anywhere. Don't plan on following any particular circuit. Maybe go places we haven't pulled yet also. We've done our share of supporting different clubs.
Thanks for the interest.

Need advice on generator for hauler. 7-8kW. Diesel, low speed, low noise and preferably low emissions (anyone that's parked next to us the last couple seasons will know why )
Thanks for the info.

Where did the old Allis Cowboy end up? That was my favorite tractor when I was quite a few years younger.

I'd say that's about right, 83-85. 85 is the first time we pulled NY but I can't recal what sled we pulled then. That was fun times. I'd say 86-87 the Dennis' cames out with Quick Silver so that's before that.
