I personally don't agree with the "Any engine with any hood" rule but I think that if its reasonable, say AGCO rear with the correct motor and an AGCO heritage hood, it should be good to go..

I am in the process of building a new tractor that will have Massey Ferguson newer style sheetmetal on it.
I'm looking to see if anyone makes reproduction fenders of the Ford 9000 style.
Or if anyone has any fenders available that might look good with the newer MF sheetmetal...
Thoughts?

I was just concerned with getting enough fuel with where we are running it...
I found a CAV pump for the perkins marine motor already set at factory RPMs of 2920. Would that work?

We are running a 354 in a 3000 RPM with a 2.3" turbo.
Talk was that the Roosamaster might work in that class?
If not, what was the thinking on mounting an inline pump on those motors?

I would certainly say the 1100 rear would be the best

Thats what I have heard.
I've been looking and I can buy Powerstroke 7.3 pistons (4.11" std bore) from Hypermax and was thinking about using those and some rod configuration to get to the 466 cubic inch...?

So he does have stock internals with his 451 at that HP? That sure would be nice! hahah

Yep! I thought about it, but as I said I found a 513 for a good price... Thats kind of what I'm asking, if it would be okay. I'm just trying to convince myself! hahah
I figured stock components of the 451 wouldn't withstand 900 horse, would they?

Okay, so here is the deal: This was not my original plan, but I have fallen into some pretty cheap parts and was looking for other people's thoughts.
Basic rules:
3x3 with 0.250 MAP groove
466 cubic inch
Stock intake/exhaust
3000 RPM
I have found a 513 ci Sisu 12 valve that I was thinking of de-boring from 4.37" to 4.16" with a stock stroke of 5.709" for 466 cubic inch. Plausible

I guess my question was, is there an advantage to have weights hanging facing out at the very front or sitting the way they would on a normal Ag tractor?

Yeah, That's what I'm thinking.. I have a couple of ideas (I'll see if I can find some pics.
Can you describe what you were thinking?

Has any one ever found a good way to use the Massey 2000-series weights in a bracket?
We have about 20 of these and would like to use them....

Hey Carl,
I know Larry or Brock or somebody talked to you in Springfield yesterday but could you keep us updated on what you guys decide for a "Classic" class? I'm the guy who pulls the Massey 55 and along with a lot of the other ITPA guys I am really interested!

Pretty sure they are coarse tooth.. and we talked about cutting new trans gears, but there isn't much room in there and we weren't sure how easy it would be in that old transmission housing.

I have a Massey Harris 55 and right now in 3rd gear we are running about 6.5 MPH (at 10% over factor RPMs and 15.5s).
Most of the rear-end is the same as a Massey Ferguson 1100 or 1130 including bull gears, ect.
Is there any way of speeding up this rear-end with different ring and pinion set ups, pumpkins, or anything? We are looking for about 15%-ish increase (2nd gear would be about 6

Okay, so I have a question. I have been told the transmission and rearend of the 1000 series tractors are the ones you want to be using when building a tractor. Is there much of a difference between the 1135 and 1155 (or 1130 and 1150) transmissions and rearends or will any one of these work well for pulling? Looking at a limited pro tractor or something similar..
