Thanks for the info Ed, but I'm looking at building a 3000 rpm turboed engine. I do appreciate your help.

No, you will need a big coil, heavy plug wires, and a msd box. And you may need to close the plug gap a little. Nitrous puts more oxygen and more fuel in the cylinder making an over rich condition and you have to be able to burn it to get any benefit.

Can a 282 block be bored to 4 inch without the sleeves in it?

Not sure, but most associations don't allow nitrous, but yes your engine will hold up. It will hold a 100 hp shot, but you will need a good ignition system to fire it. Most systems have a main power switch to arm the system and then a micro switch on the carb that the throttle arm hits at wide open to engage the nitrous, or you cam put a push button on the shifter or wherever to engage it wh

The 450 ring ang pinion will go in a 560 they bolt in no problem. yes they speed it up, don't remember the # of teeth on each, will have to look it up. I'm not sure if the 400 and 450 are the same.

I used a nodular carrier which are tough to find now, needled the diff and put a set of moser axles in it. Never had a problem.
With a n/a small block they will hold up just fine. Yes if you are going to run a large blower motor you will need the big parts.

I ran a 9" in a mini with a twin turbo big block and didnt have any problems. It had moser axles in it, and I used it because it was lighter than a dana 60.

Well I guess it doesn't bother the Morgan's, or they would be on here changing the rules for posting an ad, and if it wasn't done like they wanted they would delete them.

Call Floyd Isbell, phone # should be in the builders link or just put his name in the search box and you should find it. If a 14" clutch will fit he can tell you, and tell you what you need to make it work.

Before you took it apart you should have scribed a mark on the end of the spool and the lever to give you a reference point to go back to, reassemble then put a leakdown tester on it and reset it. Easiest now would be to call hilborn or go to their tech page, like the other post said.

If you had paid attention, you would have remembered the man asking was from WI, so you are rattling about someone based in IL, not someone entering into the state. There is a post that stated what is needed to enter the state. Geez, where's Abigail Beecher reading teacher when you need her!!!!

you can have a state tag, buy a trip and fuel permit, and enter in to another state, yes you need a DOT # and a cdl license and a med card. Having prorated tacs makes it easier, but not necessary, and take you caps lock off. Its on the left side of the keyboard!

even with your farm base plate if you get a trip and fuel permit you should be ok.
