My 4 yr old son continues to reprimand me (LOL) for not being able to find him a working pulling sled. Now I have seen the ones made by by Gottman and I would not let him play with one of those, let alone have the money to buy one. My question is this: is there anyone that does, can, or will make a functioning 1/16th scale sled without a whole lot of "bells and whistles" for a child to play wi

I know this isn't due to a tractor pull, so please forgive me, but it was a pretty good promotion.
When I was growing up, we had a local demo derby that was being promoted quite extensively on the radio. One of the advertisements announced a "special guest car and driver" which was a beautiful white 4-door Cadillac from the 80s, better known as a boat to us kids. I remember the radio an

I am aware of a tractor across the pond using 2+2 sheetmetal, which has blown up a couple times if memory serves me correctly; but, has anyone else ventured out and used it on any other tractors here in the states? We have seen the large CNH 4WD STX and JD 9000 series sheetmetal used thus far and just wondering if any other "old school" design has been used. I have no dog in the fight, not stir

I am thankful the Roberts Pulling Team was around when they were as they were an asset to the sport, regardless of whether you rooted for them or against. I don't know anything about their finances but I can only imagine what a simple fuel bill will be this summer if they ran all their rigs, cris-crossing the country, considering gas is hovering at $4/gal and diesel already well above that

Although I am not in agreement with banning progression, after reading so many posts on this topic, I have two things I want to mention.
1. Congratulations to the NTPA for having at least one rule the same as PPL. Maybe we need more. PPL's rule book change under #2B for 2012 is that "V-8 engine are not permitted." Maybe we can get more of these rules to coincide between both organizat

I don't have any crops per say, although in my area in central IL (Bloomington), things appear to not be good at all. I only say that as I have only seen from the road, not walked in the fields. I have cousins south of I-70 and they have said the same thing as the other posts. But the pics show one of my favorite fishing holes at a friend's farm that is no more. The pond is 30-35 ft

Our local tractor club had its annual show which featured MM this year. We were blessed to have an awesome show with an excellent representation of MM history, part of which were some puller tractors.

I want to take a moment and say thank you to all who helped put on the show at Henry from the competitors, track crew, fair board, and all who had a part in the background. I was able to take my 3 yr old to his first pull, who had been talking about going since we returned from last year. He had a blast and truly is hooked...no pun intended. He loved all the smoke and was in amazement with fee

Jake, you bring up a great point; I too agree that pulling is much better observed and "felt" in person and is difficult to translate on TV. If there wasn't a noise buffer for some classes, the TV speakers would probably blow up if played without editing. There is something about the noise, the smell of all fuels, and the vibrations you feel. It all adds up to "power" and feeling/hearing

Anyone got a pic of the Hurrican Allis from an indoor pull? This is the first side exhaust that comes to mind, although I am not sure if they ever pulled indoors. But, I was thinking I either head or read at one point they went to Gordyville, but could be wrong.

I have to agree Double Duece is pretty sweet. The only thing I could come up with is something along the term I grew up with calling the 2+2 tractors, Pinocchio. You could do some real cool art work with that character. So I asked my 5yr old and he came up with the idea of instead of his nose being made of wood, have his nose be the hood sheet metal of the tractor. Have a saying below it read

I'd love to see the 88 or Super 88 sheetmetal on a mean V8. I liked the idea of Esdon's on the RLF Lite by increasing the overall dimentions (assuming an equal percentage all the way around). Just a thought.

I need to ask a favor of anyone as I have a 5 yr old who went to his first pull in Henry this year and fell in love with the sport, and the tractor Monkey Mayhem. We watch lots of videos on YouTube and see a couple of this particular tractor. However, I would like to ask if anyone has access to a high quality, rather close up video of an outdoor run, possibly one of his runs at Henry or any oth

We had a great time as well. Took my 5 yr old to his first pull and he said he loved it other than being scared when the mods came out, which is understandable for a small guy. Yes, he had ear plugs and a head set as well. haha Big night for Tantrum with True Grit, which was a beautiful pass, and the 4.1 class winner on the first run for the driver and second for the tractor if I remember cor

I agree as well about Henry. When NTPA/Light Supers left, the show was still good, but just not as good in my opinion. They brought the excitement to the place. But I am sure others will have a different one, which I do appreciate.

Out of curiosity, it is fesaible to put a DT400 series in a 560 to use as a typical farm tractor? I am just curious as to whether the stock 560 rear will hold up to that series of engine.
