Ok, after seeing the video of Gordyville on YouTube, that rear wheel was moving fast. Must have been that heat of the moment , slow motion thing. Sorry y'all, no disrespect intended whatsoever.

I first want to thank everyone who worked so hard at Gordyville to put on a great show. I wasn't supposed to be going until a dinner table conversation with my uncle who had arrived from Duluth a few hours earlier. He pushed the issue and he was tickled to death to be able to go, and so was I.
The site of seeing the 30.5 rear wheel go flying like that was a sight to see, and scary. I

I apologize for sounding uneducated about the topic, but I am running really late getting tickets for tonight's session as I didn't think I was gonna be able to go. Am I assuming correctly that tickets now have to be purchased at the door and no advance tickets can be purchased for this evening?
I appreciate your time and feedback.

I understand the second hitch debate and think this is a good thread, and a great post by Middle America. It reminded me of Dennis Johnson and Shagnasty a few years back at L'ville. I saw the video and then asked him about it a few months later at an NTPA event. He said staring up at the rafters of Freedom Hall with his engine at full tilt was probably the scariest thing he's ever ex

Nah, you do that, then you'd get all these keyboard pullers confused and get them all in a fuss as to whether the new tractor was really a super stock or if the "PS" stood for Pro Stock..... The new machine sure is a sweet ride though.

I was just curious as to whether there happens to be two tractors running with "True Grit" sheet metal. I only ask as I have seen pics this year of the tractor having a fully enclosed nose and a precleaner stack. And I have also seen the tractor with the upper grill open and no precleaner stack. I would assume the open grill is for better air flow. I am not sure if the first tractor had some

Matt, I agree with Mr. Morgan wholeheartedly. For starters, take a look at the ITPA point standings as of the end of July. Who is in first and second place? You are. That means you have spent the time and money to make every event and you are successful. If you were in the bottom of the point standings, do you really think anyone would have thrown a fit? Knowing human nature, probably not.

I have seen a couple posts on here about pit passes and just would like all opinions from both pullers/team members and fans as it brings up an interesting point. Its about opinions and there is no right or wrong answers in my book. Let's look at it this way; a "team member" is the driver or anyone who turns a wrench on the pulling machine. Let's include the families of said members

I hear what you are saying about the numbers but I am actually thankful that they are consistent, faithful, and show up for the shows. Yes, there were only 3 genuine SS in Bloomington but it was definitely nice to see them as it was the first pull I have been able to get to this year. Constant Aggravation (JD), Home Brew (Oliver), and an MX from Indiana were the 3 and they did a good job. The M

Just wondering what classes are gonna be running tonight, if still on, and what sanction is putting the pull on. Haven't seen nor heard much about it, just through word of mouth, nothing confirming. Thanks for any info.

Is that black 1066 PS a new machine this year? Or is that the old Black Savage from D&R down in Hoyleton? If it is, did they build a new machine for Dennis to run?

When? Probably when an entire grandstand full of people gets to see a human actually dismembered or killed right in front of their eyes. That ought to be fun explaining that to the kids. I agree, safety needs to be the number one priority and enforced. That young man is one lucky fella and I hope he went to church this past Sunday...LOL.

Mark Austin is no stranger to the 2wd class. I think he pulled a little last year though. He is the older brother of Jamie Austin who runs in the mods. They had a 2wd truck back in the early 90s called Raisin' Kain and it got totalled, along with their rig, in the mid 90s while we were in college together. If memory serves me correctly, they had a run in with a drunk driver late one nigh

I have recently acquired a JD 2510 wide front end chassis. The machine does not currently run due to being locked up from sitting for the last 10 years since a major overhaul, so it "should" be an easy/easier fix. It also has a synchro trans too. My question is, does this unit hold any value in the tractor pulling community? If not, I will probably go ahead and get it running to use although

So I was reading a number of posts on the Shramek tractor and such and who is actually the King of Smoke and it triggered a thought. Although the series disbanded in 2007, I think it would be interesting to see a "truck and tractor pullers" version of the IROC series. The cars were all made the same and prepared/set-up by a single team of mechanics. I believe they pulled drivers from NASCAR, I

Lets not forget the block is simply one individual piece in a thousand piece puzzle making the tractor go from point A to point B. So I am not too sure the block itself should be the focal point of why one tractor is better than any other tractor in the class.

As only one fan, the light supers is the class I miss by far the most from the Henry pull going from NTPA to PPL. I would love to see them come back as it is one of the 2 or 3 show I am able to get to each year. But as mentioned, give credit where credit is due.

One thing we need to be mindful of when us non-pullers are sharing our opinion is that there are only so many different sheet metal styles in all colors to use. No matter what color a builder makes, it will only be a matter of time before someone is accused of being a "copycat." Let's take John Deere for instance;
"New Generation" 10 series with the later released 20 series; 10 & 20 s

hahaha...I am sure Lance would love to hear we are comparing his tractors to others like a gal with a little meat on her bones and some curves versus a gal who is tall and slender...now that is funny. Good thing he isn't using the Big Bud chassis....
I personally think it is "outside the box" with his thinking and it does add something different than what we are used to seeing. I guess

While going through Jake's pictures (thank you very much for posting them by the way) I saw Lance had a precleaner assembly on the tractor but didn't see the turbo inlet air horn sticking out the front of the hood/grill. Was this simply for cosmetics or did he do this to keep for ingesting any sand? Not trying to start an arguement, but just curious. I have followed these guys since

I recently saved a picture of the side tins of the Alcohol Engineered JD. I am assuming it is a super stock of some sort due to the name, but honestly cannot remember where I saw the picture at. See where you are going? You don't need to do that as long as you land on the beach at Louisville. Point the nose of the tractor "down yonder" and go. But in all seriousness, I understand what you are saying as I have had that (fogging) happen many times while snowmobiling. Then I got a the funds to buy a real snowmobile helmet and it virtually solved all my issues. I just didn't k
