Griping or Constructive Criticism? - 15 years ago
First, to “red runner” you don’t just “get on the NFMS pull committee and try and make it better”, I wish it was really that easy (I'd sign up tomorrow). The committee members are a very tight-knit and hand-selected group. They are all there for different reasons and it’s not so simple to just be part of the selection process. I’d love to see Butch and Miles do the Farm Show together. Personally I think Butch has a great voice and is a great announcer, his voice has a lot of life and a lot of enthusiasm. Does he have flaws? Sure, everyone does, but I think Butch does a good job. I know people can mock him for “Red!... I’ve got to agree with Eric on this, a Datalogger is pretty cheap insurance that everyone is playing on a level playing field. I don’t think they are expensive either. I’d go to the Builders Directory / Phonebook section of the links page and give “Fair Valley Performance” a call, they are the distributors of the Datalog Peak Performance system. Saturday Afternoon The people are already starting to file in with 45 minutes remaining until driver introductions. Factory Support - 15 years ago
I personally think the current rules structure in most national classes is extremely prohibitive to factory support. Almost all factories are turning out 505ish CID tractors and almost all the national classes have rules from 640-680. That’s not a very factory friendly environment. A 505-510 high performance single charger diesel class would be more inline with what the companies currently oby Jake Morgan - Forum

Eric, Thanks for the great videos last week. I think it's cold everywhere today, but I'd sure rather be cold at a tractor pull compared to some of the other options. Fair and Reasonable Light Superstock Rules (originally posted on November 21, 2002) - 15 years ago
(originally posted on November 21, 2002) The Light Superstock class has struggled this year on the National level. That doesn’t mean the class is dead, in fact it is extremely healthy in certain regions but it is definitely hurting as a whole. One reason the class is hurting is because there is a lager division between fans and pullers who want the class to be a smaller version of the Unlimiteby Jake Morgan - Opinion
Fair and Reasonable Superstock Rules (originally posted on November 19, 2002) - 15 years ago
(originally posted on November 19, 2002) Ten years ago a Superstock was a Superstock and pullers could go everywhere they wanted, fans could also hope for a “surprise” national puller showing up at their local events. Fair and Reasonable Prostock Rules (originally posted October 16, 2002) - 15 years ago
(originally posted October 16, 2002) The Prostock class does have its minor share of problems. It’s pretty much a Red vs. Green class. There are a few true Case and a few Massey, one Minnie Mo and One White but that’s not a ton of variety. The only reason for the lack of variety is the cubic inch limit.
