There has been some discussion of going to a spec/sealed turbo.. thinking of something of something in the 3x4 range. I know anyone can built a turbo.. but was curious to see if any other organizations were currently a turbo like this, and how its working. Really need something that can have a range of exhaust housings..
Just looking for some opinions..
Thanks

What RPM does a Super Farm tractor make Peak HP? (600-640 Cubes)
I don't pull in the class and probably never will... just curious..

Are you going to destroke.. or just narrow the cylinders down?? I know some are narrowing the bore down on the 496 to 466.. just have to notch the sleeves.. I would think you could just do the same..

Just an odd question... is it only a pay per night?? Is there an option to pay for a "Season Pass"? or at least for an entire event??
I'll have to give it try soon... especially when it gets around the the big events...

Most places will have rules that say.. "Available in a 1 ton or smaller" when looking at the engine.. I know its the same cubes or smaller.. This would be the advantage of the cummins.. or you get stuck in an open class.
What is the RTO610?

I put this one on the inside of the cage.. but it was a little too far back...
(Something happened when I edited this video.. it doesn't start playing until the 2:50 mark... I fix it one day..)
My Antique.. I just suction cupped it to the hood...
I've got more.. I just need to edit them..

Very Nice.. I've done a few in the 1080 mode. but I think I'll start using a lesser quality...
What have you been editing the clips with.. the program I have doesn't accept the format the GoPro uses.. by the time I convert the file format, its lost its quality...
One of the coolest ones I have done I put the camera on the weight box... (It was just a farm stock tractor.. but st

If this is your first time.. call some of the different builders.. and get a feel for them... Phil at REI is a good person to talk to.. and very helpful.. probably not the cheapest, but the parts are right the first time.. There are alot of good guys out there.. just need to find the one that fits you.. Bullet Cams can cut you a cam.. but they just do cams.. they won't know if it will clear

With the OEM harness, controll panel, and contoller you can make it work.. but it will mostly be a farm tractor.. or farm stock.. maybe 500-600HP .. (That's just a stock rated HP.) If you could find someone with the ability to program the controller.. U know what is there.. (no idea how to get the HP.) (the OEM harness would be a standalone setup.)

You might look at the Marine applications..
You want EFI Live for a John Deere.. haha.. I know what you want.. but like you, no idea where to find what you are looking for.. An engine distributor will have some selection.. (but not what you want..)

What size exhaust housings on the turbo's?? What application?? (what are trying to do??) Truck or Tractor?? and what RPM's
With that fuel the 40 would work.. but the 50 would be better.. (The shaft of the 40's have been known to break.) depends on the RPMS and exhausting if you could keep it turning..

What wiring harness did you use?? The OEM harness would be the easiest.. and then get an ECU for an OEM application.. Its hard to make the tractor harness work, because its looking for the input for things like throttle from another controller.. So you need the other controllers. (its been done but not cheap)
If you use the OEM harness you can use the OEM Diagnostic gauge as a display for the e

Yea.. I've pushed a hose off before.. it didnt last long... I've been looking at some of the specs they gave us for the current production JD engines, and the GPM is crazy.. but the duty cycle is continues...

Jim.. Do you think its enough flow to run only the Aqua Tiger pump??

We have used the Shurflow Aqua Tiger pump on lots of Antiques.. had planned to use on a bigger tractor in the future.. It has a bronze impeller and housing.. never had a problem with them..

I know many have had good luck with those pumps.. but I was always curious at what the actual amount of flow was when you added the restriction of the intercooler into the system.. most of those pump are designed for no restriction or no pressure.. 63 GPM is a lot of flow..

What weight? Our local club in TX has a similar class.

You really just need a valve for an open center system.. the other style valve will clean things up.. the lawn mower valve is just cheap, small and light..
From TX.. not going to Keystone..

The 8640 will have a closed center hydraulic valve too.. it will function the same has the valve you have in the tractor now.. You need an open center valve it you are going to set it up the way a-4 listed using the powersteering pump.

The accumulator can be anywhere in the system.. between the pump and the valve.. The amount of pressure you need will depend on the size of the cylinders and the weight of the tractor.. You just need to make sure the pressure switch is below the relief setting.. I'm sure you can find a switch online, or at a local hydraulic shop..

I was eying the steering valve on the 318 tonight.. haha..

a-4.. I agree, that should be easy to do.. What steering cylinders are you using with the 318 steering valve?? And the entire setup probably weighs less than just the electric hydraulic pump.. (and getting rid of all the steering valve parts.)
The electric pump should be an easy install.. and he's got all the right parts.. just needs one or two more..
