At that point you might as well just look for a hydrostatic setup.. Used in the utility tractors, combines and other manufactures.. Unless u can find an early model being parted out for cheap...

All of the cranks should have been updated during the Product Improvement Program.. unless the machine was scrapped within a the first 1 year.. (Most were done before the machines were a year old.. many were fixed before they had a few hrs on them..)
You could run an earlier 8.1L head or the 55 head.. (either would work for Farm stock.) Most are wanting the R86427 55 Series head.. There have b

The later ones with the more yellow decal, had the better shift valves, and better shifting trans.. (I can't remember if it was 10,000 or 20,000 SN# that it was changed.) I believe the 83-8400 had a 2in longer pump drive housing, and I think that changed the wheel base... (been a few yrs since those tractors came out..) If you found a good one.. I wouldn't pass it up to look for an 8

I agree with JD43... I have also seen many other forums split up the forsale pages.. just to have it crash... Usually no one will look on the other pages.. and it all ends up back on the main page.. or gets moved to the pages, and no one sees it.. with the number of adds going on each day its not too hard to look through the information.. as long as everyone is giving good titles to what they hav

We have built them for the Antiques.. but will buy a set.. I also have gotten prices from a few people on here.. the price is anywhere 200-350... at some of those prices.. its not worth me building a set.. after you spend the time and then buy the other parts that go with it..

I think you'll have a hard time with the 125hp and open HP limit.. You'll need to spend sometime on the dyno to get everything setup correctly even at the lower HP....
What is your RPM limit?? even if its 3000.. you'll probably want to change the governor springs.. the stock springs droop kind of low.. basically it will start at 3000 rpms.. but wont open up fully until you get

Go to CompetitionDiesel.com, dieseltruckresourse.com or cumminforum, and here for used parts.. Injectors.. You'll want different governor springs also.. (there are some threads about adjusting the stock ones too.. ) But you should be able to find some bigger injectors on one of the sites for not too much.. You can cut on the plate.. (again search on the forums.. there are pictures of differe

I have a cheap set from Eastwood.. and an old double oven someone gave me.. and it works.. but it takes some practice.. some colors are easier than others.. and making sure your product gets to the correct temps..
I'm interested to see what others are using.. as I'd like to set up to something better also...

Yea.. I never understood the battery cable size thing.. Current flow is the same at any point in a series circuit.. so its the same on both sides of the circuit..
injpumped and Jim.. never thought about something as simple as running the alt wire to the other side of the switch.. most just run it to the starter..

You need to take bottom part of the lube reduction valve off.. remove the valve, knock the pin out and reinstall the top part of the valve. This will allow oil to both clutches. You also need to block off the PTO clutch and PTO brake passage. (you can remove the jumper tubes, and thread them to 1/8 pipe and install 1/8 pipe plugs, there are other ways to do this.) Leave the PTO shaft from the

That is the camera I bought.. (the 1080) I also bought the Roll bar mount.. It has the different modes that Jesse mentioned so you don't have to run in 1080.. the battery is good for about 2 1/2hrs.. I haven't run it continious for 2 1/2hrs.. but I'm guessing U will use about 16G of space in the 2 hrs.. but you can use a 32G card.. (I just bought a 16G card, because of the batter

What does it take to change a P-Pump to a self contained oiling, instead of oiling from the engine.. I don't think I'd try it without having a pump shop do it.. but Just curious to know what it takes.

There are a few threads with some info.. easiest way to get the oil to both clutches is to remove part of the lube reduction valve.. you have to plug off a few ports too..
If you have any question you can PM me or email me..

I forgot about the extra cam bearings.. It would be interesting to see how much lift the factory rollers could handle.. the retainer part of the lifters could start moving up and down in the block.. but that could easily be modified..
One thing you would have to look at is the holes for the push rods in the head.. you might have to grind the holes out a little..and cut out the head gasket if yo

Also remember the 9.0L block has the mounting for an HPCR pump and is running at Crankshaft speed. (small gear on the pump) Also the cam is moved on the 9.0L block.. so it is a little further away from the cylinders. (not much, but a little.. would probably still work.) If you change heads you will have to find a different cam, as the intake and exhaust lobes will have to be moved to different l
