We've had good luck with Arias and Diamond in the past.
D&J Precision Machine is making forged Pistons with a steel ring land that has been working well also.

Didn't he have that tractor out a couple years ago for one test hook? I think it caught on fire right off the line.

We machine a v band flange out of aluminium and weld it to the compressor inlet. If your charge pipe is smaller you can make a transition.

In most classes, application of the pulling vehicles brakes could make the situation worse. Say, on our 4x4 trucks, we only have front brakes and nearly no weight on the rear axle when not under a pull from the chain. Automatic emergency application of our brakes could cause the vehicle to turn sharply when the pan strikes the rear of the vehicle, likely causing a rollover. I imagine the scenario

All my prior experience with engine tuning has been with open rpm engines so I'm lookin for a little advice.
About to set the timing up on a BBJD with a relatively stock 50series 619. Has a 3.6 charger, port water injection, 13mm P3000, .120 lines, 5x26 injectors.
I think that I should be in the 28°-32° area, but a friend and local puller thinks I may want to rethink that, the idea being t

I would have done that but these are partially pre fabricated by Haslag.
I think I'll just make a filter bypass plate on the filter housing..

Installing tie bars on a 5010 and this hydraulic filter on the left side of the transmission is in the way.
I have to keep the hydraulics on the tractor for steering.
What is the proper way of moving or deleting this filter from the system?
This is only used as a pulling tractor, no field work.

Where is the pull? 2.6 is by far the biggest class out there.
It all depends on if you want to have a big competitive class that puts on a good show or a "good old boys" class that makes a couple of the local guys look good because the rules are skewed in their favor.

Yes.
If you are doing block work I would reccomend to install pipe plugs in all the oil galley ends to prevent a potential plug blowout.

These are what I use for head and main studs on almost all of our builds.

I'm not referring to water leaking from a crack between along the freeze plug area.
I can show you plenty of pictures of 5.9 blocks with the top and sides blown completely out.
I'm glad that you have had success with your tractor and like I said not all 53 blocks are weak.
I just see it as an unnecessary risk to take.
It doesn't matter if you are building a two bedroom ranch ho

Filled or not, the 53 is often still a weak block. Not all of them are but why play the odds on a high hp build.
The best block to build from is the ag block (often marked with a 56) it weighs in the neighborhood of 30-40 lbs more than a standard block. Beyond that, a 6.7 common rail truck block with a deck plate and pressed in sleeves is pretty much the best setup.

Be sure to put a ball valve close to your tank outlet so that you can take the system apart for service.

To the OP: It is an exercise in futility for me to try to reason with you.
Either you have an agenda to promote a different class that you see more fit to the bill or you don't care for smoke classes or trucks in general.
The lack of your name in this thread leads me to question the validity of your arguement.
I will tell you that there are more trucks being built, ours will be hitting

Installing one of Kenny's pulling parts three disc sfi clutches in a 5010. This one has the PTO drive and weight assist on the fingers. If we adjust the clutch all the way out, the throw out bearing is still contacting the fingers. Apparently we are supposed to machine on the throw out bearing to gain clearance as I don't see any adjustment to the finger height.
I'm wondering if t

The Klotz is a pretty good product. Twister is right on with the mixture to start out with, you will definately want to bump your timing down a little, but you are still going to be at an elevated risk of burning a piston down.
I used to mess with fuels back in the day, but found it much easier to keep adding turbos and water to make power.
I understand what you are doing though, and this isn

Find the 1998-2001 heads that have parent seats.
They can be hard to find without cracked seats though.
Another option is to have someone weld up the seat area and machine it back down.
Stock for stock the 06+ 5.9 heads will flow a little more and the 6.7 heads a bit more yet.
