Well russell it sounds to me like you are assuming. When you do that it makes an ass u me . I know the sled, It is the outlaw hotrods sled, they pull blown minis all the time it stops them fine. They were advertising for a new sled operator this spring and it may have been a case of panic set in when this happened. Don't know for sure just another assumption. I have ran a sled before and had

Called Hilborn a year ago, ask some questions, bought some parts, they gave us a baseline to start with, and it worked. Took a little tuning but that's normal. They were very helpful to us. Talked to them about a month ago and were very helpful again.

If you have rockers from both heads measure them from pivot to contact point on each end. If the 301 rockers are shorter on the push rod side or longer on the valve side they will give more lift than the others. You also need to make sure the geometry is correct.

The company took different models of tractors on the assembly line and painted them gold and shipped them out to dealers. The idea was to increase sales, so the dealers would take the tractors out to possible customers, and let them use it for a week or so, then go get it and take it another farmer and just continue the cycle. Some demos were sold still painted gold and the owner would paint the

You can rag on the pullers for trying to save a few bucks, but what about all the racers that are running around with the the big tandem axle RV's pulling stacker trailers with 2 dirt or asphalt cars running around the country. They are doing it on rv tags, so what is the difference?

It's better to a hotter coil with it. Bigger spark and you can run a larger gap on the plugs, for better flame travel.

Put a pertronix or other electronic unit in and add a msd box, if you are allowed to. The msd gives multiple sparks at low rpm, and you can richen the carb and get more power. Most of the NATPA pullers run this set up.

And what you are saying, Jake covered in the chain of custody issue. You can take them a sample, but it's not the same as them pulling it from the tank! When I go in for a DOT drug screen they don't let me bring in a sample, I have to produce one there!

Mothers did do the balancing on them and Brent added metal to the crank to get it to balance.
Don;t remember the year but Ernie was ahead in the points and blew the motor up in new hampshire, and drove back to missouri and Brent built a new engine for it. They missed two pulls, but still won the points race. Thats dominate!

The Outlaws got themselves kicked out. They booked a state level 2 wheel drive class for springfield, knowing a national level was booked on the same night. Only 1 truck showed up in springfield and they wouldn't cut the fair any slack on price for class. The next year the Outlaws didn't get booked for the fair, so they told the fair board we will show you and rented springfield raceway
